j left work after lunch on friday so he could get home and cook the turkey. he ran home... like on his two feet. ran. home. anyways, he got home and was a cooking machine all afternoon.
tonight was the night for our third annual friends potluck thanksgiving dinner. three years ago this started because we wanted to use the stuff we got from the wedding. and now it's in its third year. this year was a little different though because one of j's coworkers brought his 2 year old girl. and she fell in love with me. she kept saying my name over and over. it was really cute.
so there was tons of food and a couple bottles of wine and three whole pies! we all ate until we couldn't eat anymore and then we ate some more. people started to leave around 9:30 and then we went out and saw the departed, a new movie with matt damon and leonardo dicaprio. i really liked the ending because it was not your typical good-guy-kills-bad-guy good-guy-gets-girl ending. watch it and you'll see what i mean.
i was painfully tired by the time we got home and fell into bed looking forward to sleeping in after a long week........
