Really? Honestly? Seriously?

You! The one who works in a cubicle environment. I have a question for you.

Do you have someone who sits near you who uses their phone on speakerphone?

There's this manager. He sits across the hall from me. His office has a door. A functioning door. Yet he still makes calls using speakerphone. But what really gets me is when he checks his messages on speakerphone. With the door open!

Really? Honestly? Seriously?

Yeah, that's a pretty big offence in Cubicle-land :S

my boss does this all the time. So does the office assistant when he is calling the IT helpdesk so everyone has to listen to half an hour of elevator music blasting from his speakerphone.

I'm with Lindsay P on this one! That would definetly be hilarious.

Oooooh no! I'll admit I do this! AND I have a door... do you think my coworkers get annoyed with me too?

But I don't talk to people on speakerphone, just listen to messages and wait on hold... maybe that is even more annoying?

Shelley, it takes real courage to admit that you are a speakerphoner. Good for you!

Personally the on-hold music isn't too much of a problem. Listening to other people's phone messages all day can be very distracting though, not to mention potentially awkward... Better hope that Lindsay p. doesn't work in your office!
